Terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Draft. TenRise is in testing. These terms describe how licensing will work and apply to testers and trials now; they will be finalised, with our company details, before launch.

TenRise is a Firefox extension made by Cloudtrees ("we"). By installing or using it, you ("you", or the organisation you use it for) agree to these terms.

1. Plans and licenses

  • Free needs no license and covers one customer tenant.
  • Pro is licensed per named user. The license lists the user accounts (UPNs) that may use it, within your organisation's own Microsoft Entra tenant. Each listed person may use it; no one else.
  • Partner is licensed per organisation, in a size based on the number of customer tenants (for example 25, 100 or unlimited). The license and your order state the number of users it is intended for.
  • Trials run for the period stated in the trial license, normally 30 days, and are for evaluation only.

Every paid license is bound to your organisation's own tenant and is valid until the date stated in it. When it ends, TenRise continues on the Free plan.

2. What you may and may not do

You may use TenRise for your own work and, under Partner, for your organisation's customers. You may not:

  • share a license with people or organisations it wasn't issued to;
  • modify, decompile or patch TenRise to bypass or change its license checks or limits;
  • redistribute, resell or rent out TenRise or a license;
  • remove notices about TenRise's ownership or license.

We may end a license that is used against these terms, after telling you why.

3. Number of users and renewal

For Partner, you tell us at each renewal how many people use TenRise, and the size or price is adjusted if that number has grown beyond what your license is intended for. We may ask once a year for a short statement of how many people use it. We'll only ask what's needed for that.

4. Your responsibility

TenRise acts with your own Microsoft accounts and only within the permissions you and your customers' administrators grant. You are responsible for the roles you activate, for following your customers' policies, and for the consent given in each tenant. TenRise doesn't grant access you don't already have.

5. Microsoft services

TenRise relies on Microsoft's sign-in and APIs (Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Graph, Azure Resource Manager). Changes or outages at Microsoft can affect TenRise. TenRise is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or Mozilla.

6. Warranty and liability

TenRise is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working and secure, but don't guarantee that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the license fees you paid in the twelve months before the event, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

7. Privacy

See our privacy statement. In short: the extension sends nothing to us; it talks only to Microsoft, from your browser.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes that affect a license you already paid for apply from its next renewal. The date at the top shows the current version.

9. Law

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
